CROWN CHAKRA Your crown chakra, also known as Sahasrara, is situated at the very top of your head, or slightly above it. When this chakra is out of balance, symptoms may include—but are not limited to—feelings of disconnection from spirit, lack of purpose, cynicism, chronic boredom, confusion, and an excessive attachment to material possessions or ego. If the crown chakra is under-active, a person may come across as rigid, spiritually uninterested, or overly focused on the physical world. On the other hand, if it is over-active, they may become spaced out, overly intellectual, or disconnected from everyday reality and their own body. As your primary center for spiritual connection and higher consciousness, this chakra is prone to imbalance—and most of us will experience such an imbalance at some point in our lives.
Third Eye Chakra Healing Guided Meditation
THIRD-EYE CHAKRA Your third-eye chakra, also known as Ajna, is situated in the center of your forehead, directly behind the brow bone. When this chakra is out of balance, symptoms may include—but are not limited to—lack of clarity, poor memory, difficulty concentrating, cynicism, confusion, and an inability to see the bigger picture in life. If the third-eye chakra is under-active, a person may come across as closed-minded, overly attached to logic, or dismissive of their intuition. On the other hand, if it is over-active, they may become prone to hallucinations, paranoia, daydreaming, or living in a fantasy world. As your primary center for intuition and inner wisdom, this chakra is prone to imbalance—and most of us will experience such an imbalance at some point in our lives.
Throat Chakra Healing Guided Meditation
HEART CHAKRA Your heart chakra is located at the center of your chest, just above the physical heart. When this chakra is out of balance, symptoms may include—but are not limited to—difficulty giving or receiving love, jealousy, grief, fear of intimacy, codependency, and a tendency to hold grudges. If the heart chakra is under-active, a person may come across as cold, distant, or critical toward others. On the other hand, if it is over-active, they may become overly sacrificing, possessive, or lose their own identity in relationships. As your primary center for love and compassion, this chakra is prone to imbalance—and most of us will experience such an imbalance at some point in our lives.
Heart Chakra Healing Guided Meditation
HEART CHAKRA Anahata, or the heart chakra, is the fourth primary chakra according to Hindu Yogic, Shakta, and Buddhist Tantric traditions. In Sanskrit, Anahata means "unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten." The term Anahata Nad refers to the Vedic concept of unstruck sound—the sound of the celestial realm. Anahata is associated with balance, calm, and serenity. This chakra is located in the central channel of the spine, at the level of the heart, while its kshetram (or superficial activation point) lies between the breasts.
Solar Plexus Chakra Healing Guided Meditation
SOLAR PLEXUS CHAKRA GUIDED MEDITATION Known as Manipura in Sanskrit, the Solar Plexus Chakra is the third major energy center in the body. Manipura is regarded as the hub of dynamism, energy, willpower, and achievement (referred to as Itcha shakti). It radiates prana—the life force—throughout the entire human body. This chakra is connected to the element of fire, digestion, the sense of sight, and the action of movement. Through meditation on Manipura, it is believed that one can gain the power to create or to destroy the world.
Sacral Chakra Healing Guided Meditation
SACRAL CHAKRA Your sacral chakra is situated in the lower abdomen, roughly one to two inches below the navel. When this chakra is out of balance, symptoms may include—but are not limited to—attachment issues, guilt related to sexuality, shyness, emotional instability, heightened sensitivity, and problems with trust. If the sacral chakra is under-active, a person may come across as emotionally disconnected or cold toward others. On the other hand, if it is over-active, they may become needy and emotionally dependent. As your primary emotional center, this chakra is prone to imbalance—and most of us will experience such an imbalance at some point in our lives.
Root Chakra Guided Meditation
ROOT CHAKRA Also referred to as the 1st Chakra, Muladhara (sometimes spelled Mooladhara) is widely regarded as the most essential chakra, since it serves as the foundation—or "Mool"—Chakra. Unless this chakra is balanced, efforts to heal or unblock the higher chakras will not succeed, no matter how hard we try. Situated at the base of the spine, the root chakra regulates our physical energy and fosters a sense of safety and security in relation to both others and ourselves.
